Where do you work?
I am a paid intern at Studio 65 Giovanni Bianco.
Did you feel confident about entering the world of work after you graduated?
I was still a little nervous going from a classroom into a professional environment but the course structure and lecturers prepared us as for what to expect.
What were you doing before the course?
Before I began this course I did literally EVERYTHING! I made and sold jewelry, I painted, I also babysat, waited tables and was a hostess to supplement my income. I worked job to job.
Why did you decide to do the course?
I decided to take this course for a number of reasons, the main one being learning how to use the Adobe software as well as the overall graphic design process. The world is becoming so technologically savvy that being able to utilize the computer as a tool to create, enhance and share art is invaluable!
What was the most valuable thing you took away from the course?
We were very well prepared with regard to meeting strict deadlines! Learning to design to a realistic timeframe has been so invaluable! All of the quick keys have also helped out!
Where do you see yourself 12 months from now?
I am interested in eventually designing for the web. However, I am hoping to stay with the company I am interning at for now!
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Working for a smaller studio has had a lot of highlights. I work with a great group of people and although I am given a lot of internship tasks (creating mock-ups, running errands etc), I have am always been included in the creative process for client projects which I love!
