Did you feel confident about entering the design industry after you graduated?
My experience at Shillington definitely gave me the confidence I needed in entering the design industry. I felt well prepared and was confident in how I should present myself and my portfolio as well as how I would approach a brief.

What were you doing before the course?
Studying a bachelor's degree in business marketing.

Why did you decide to do the course?
I was always interested in graphic design and attempted to teach myself. However, I lacked the fundamentals and basics of design. I didn't have any creative process.

What was the most valuable thing you took away from the course?
I felt comfortable applying for jobs and I was taught valuable lessons on how to present your portfolio. I adopted many of the fundamental tips and techniques that were focused on in the course, and they were the ones that I was commended on during my interview. One of the most enjoyable and valuable aspects of the course was that it simulated a studio environment, where we could all interact and feedback on each others work.

Where do you see yourself in 12 months?
I am really enjoying my current role and I see myself continuing to work here as a digital designer, growing my skill set, learning more and building on my personal portfolio.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Being involved in some great campaigns for large clients and learning new things everyday.
