What sort of work are you doing?
Logos, branding, brochure and poster design, invitations, calender design. It's all mostly print.
What sort of deadlines do you work to?
With my freelance projects, at the moment I don't have much of a tight deadline. They mostly range from weeks to months. But once I get an idea flowing, the work can be finished within a day or two, leaving plenty of room for feedback.
What do you love about Graphic Design?
The idea that it makes you think, makes you feel. Much to a greater degree when it's your own creation, and you've invoked the same feelings from others. Graphic Design is like traffic lights. Without it, there's chaos. Now that was original. Hope I don't regret saying that in five years time.
What do you find inspiring?
Anything that touches me, visually stimulating, something original. People that don't give up on achieving what they set out to do.
How has Shillington helped you gain employment?
It has equipped me with the skills and attitude needed to get into the industry. It also takes initiative and action to catch that big break.
