What is your current job?
Art Director.

What sort of work are you doing?
Designing two magazines, Live to Ride and Chopper. I started off here designing print ads (classifieds to full page display etc), then moved on to helping with editorial features and finally moving up to oversee the whole magazines editorial content as art director!

What sort of deadlines do you work to?
Live to Ride is monthly, Chopper is quarterly, so every 3 months I have a double deadline!

What do you love about Graphic Design?
Seeing ideas come to life. The whole process from conception and experimentation through to final art, when the mag hits the shelves.

What do you find inspiring?
Constantly learning new skills, never standing still, plus plenty of travelling, music, film etc ...

How has Shillington helped you gain employment?
I left with a strong enough portfolio to gain a foothold in a major publishing house, despite a lack of practical experience at the time of being hired.
