What is your role?
Graphic Artist.
What sort of work are you doing?
Part of a brand new project to redevelop more modern advertising solutions for the newspaper group. Also, to create new design based templates and pages for the Classifieds area, and give clients the option of advertising with specialty designs to give their business a competitive edge.
What sort of deadlines do you work to?
Deadlines vary from now to a day. But you are always constantly 'storing' and developing new ideas and concepts for later.
What do you love about Graphic Design?
It's being part of a design solution, and bringing something new and exciting to a group that haven't had specialty people before in their area. Also, seeing positive responses from your work... it gets you going for more.
What do you find inspiring?
That other people are really interested in what you do, and that design can be easily taken for granted if you don't see the working progress. So, lots of visual imagery around me inspires me, from one of my old magazines to the latest website graphics.
How has Shillington helped you gain employment?
